Carnival Fantasy Cruise - Just Back!

Barbara and I just returned from a 5 night Carnival Fantasy cruise out of Charleston, South Carolina. 

We had a fun time inspite of somewhat poor weather.  I'll provide a more detailed trip report later, but here are few pictures and my cool Animoto video of the fun.

Cruises Booked!

I've been in the cruise booking mode over the past few weeks.   Booked a cruise in early October for a January 2012 cruise aboard the Carnival Fantasy out of Charleston.  Then, a few days later I booked a cruise for this week also on the Carnival Fantasy out of Charleston.  The last minute special price was too good to pass up.  And, today, I've booked another cruise for October 2012 on the Carnival Freedom out of Fort Lauderdale.   The early booking price with Carnival was great.  And, I was able to select an aft premium balcony.

I've found that best pricing is really late just a few weeks before sailing and very early in the booking process.  Early booking gives a really good price, possible price protection guarantees and ensures that your cabin choice is available with the possibility of even selecting the specific cabin.

GRAND OPENING! Mel's CRUISE VACATIONS BLOG.

My new blog... CRUISE VACATIONS!
We love to travel!    Starting in October 2001, we started traveling a good bit to Caribbean destinations.  Our first all-inclusive trip was to Moon Palace near Cancun, Mexico in October 2001.  Since then, we have made 18 additional trips to Mexico, 4 trips to Dominican Republic, 3 trips to Jamaica and one trip to Aruba and one trip to The Bahamas -- all of these were land based vacations (most all-inclusive).

There have been a few cruises too - 3 cruises all on Carnival.   Our next cruise will be Friday, October 28th out of Charleston, SC on the Carnival Fantasy.  With a little more time on our hands, we do plan to take more cruise vacations.  So, this is a good time for my own CRUISE VACATIONS BLOG!

I'll use this blog to highlight our cruise vacations and offer our personal cruise reviews, tips and cool links.  Of course, we really are cruise newbies, but, we will pass along our experiences to help others.   Enjoy!
